Java Card API

The Java Card API and Java Card Development Kit may or may not be part of the J2ME. Java Card is Sun's smart card payment, transaction, identification, security, and deployment development platform solution. In conjunction with the Open Card Framework (OCF), the Java Card API could become an open standard amongst smart card vendors.
